Tools for Canvas Photo Art

The best tool for creating canvas photo art is without doubt Adobe Photoshop. But for most people this is way too expensive, so I will look at two alternatives.

If you like, you can try Adobe Photoshop for free for a month. After that you can decide if it is worth the money. If you have an old version of the program, you can buy an upgrade version for less than a third of the normal price.

Adobe Photoshop Elements

Adobe Photoshop Elements is a light version of Adobe Photoshop. But for most people this program has everything they need for editing their photos – including making canvas photo art.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 6

Adobe Photoshop Elements has also the tools you need to create canvas photo art

The program costs $99.99 and you can download a free trial version.

If you are a student, you can buy many of the Adobe Products with a heavy discount. Visit Adobe Education Store to learn more about student discounts

ACDSee

ACDSee is a range of photo editing software programs. The cheapest one for home use is ACDSee Photo Editor 2008 costing $49.99.

A little more expensive version (costing $64.99) is ACDSee Pro 2, but the $15 you get a lot of extra tools making this version worth the money.

ACDSee Pro 2

ACDSee Pro 2 is a fine alternative to Adobe Photoshop Elements

The major difference between Adobe Photoshop Elements and ACDSee Pro 2 is that you can control the art process better with the Adobe program (by setting different parameters). If you do not care about that, ACDSee Pro is a fine alternative.

You can download a free 30-day trial of both ACDSee Photo Editor and ACDSee Pro.
